Bobbi Simmons has given Michigan a verbal commitment for fall 2028. The Edina High School junior swims for Aquajets, and her range across fly, IM, and backstroke makes this a three-event story.

Swimming World lists her short course yard bests at 53.34 in the 100 fly, 2:00.52 in the 200 IM, and 53.93 in the 100 back. At the 2025 Minnesota Class AA state meet, she won the 100 back and finished second in the 200 IM.

We ran those three reported times through Match for a look back. Michigan came in at #3 on the full list, in the Good group. The 100 fly and 200 IM landed in its Contributor range; the 100 back was in Depth.

Her spring results add another piece: she finished fifth in both the 100 fly and 200 IM at the NCSA championships. Michigan is getting a swimmer who has already shown those events in championship meets.

For this look back, we entered the published short course yard times on October 21, 2026 against the 2025–26 roster snapshot.
