Charlie Camplin is staying near home. The Morrisville swimmer has verbally committed to NC State for fall 2027, moving from the Marlins of Raleigh to a Wolfpack program he has known through the local swim community.

His summer gave this commitment a clear headline: Camplin won the 200-meter breaststroke at Madison Futures in 2:14.38. He also placed third in the 400 IM there. Those were long course races; the yard swims offer a closer look at how his current times compare with a college roster.

Camplin has been 1:58.05 in the 200 breast, 55.79 in the 100 breast, and 1:50.08 in the 200 IM, all in short course yards. He attends Panther Creek High School, where he finished third in the 200 IM at the North Carolina 8A state meet. We used all three yard times for the NC State comparison.

We entered those three yard times for a retrospective Match read. NC State came in at #8 on the full list as a Good match. The 200 breast reached its current roster’s Contributor range, while the 200 IM was in Depth.

For this look back, we entered the published short course yard times on October 23, 2026 against the 2025–26 roster snapshot.
