Salem Bahr’s summer put her 200 breast in the spotlight. The Nashville swimmer went 2:28.99 in long course meters at Summer Nationals, earned a National Junior Team nomination, and has now committed to Indiana for 2028–29.
She swims for Ensworth High and Ensworth Aquatics. In short course yards, she has been 1:00.69 in the 100 breast, 2:11.06 in the 200 breast, and 2:02.57 in the 200 IM. Those are separate swims from the long course result that made the summer news.
For a retrospective Match read, we used those three yard times rather than her long course summer swim. Indiana came up #7 overall, in the Strong group; her 100 breast was in the Hoosiers’ Scorer range.
There is a nice progression to this announcement: a breakthrough summer, a national team nod, and a college decision. The yard times offer a way to look at how her events line up with Indiana’s current roster. Congratulations to Salem.
For this look back, we entered the published short course yard times on October 20, 2026 against the 2025–26 roster snapshot.
