Stella Canoles grew up going to Cal swim camps and watching the Golden Bears race. Now the Campolindo High School junior from Lafayette has made a verbal commitment to swim there in fall 2028. She trains nearby with Orinda Aquatics.

The sprint times stand out first: 22.43 in the 50 free and 49.17 in the 100 free, both in short course yards. At 2025 Winter Juniors West, she finished fifth and sixth in those events. She also reached the 100 fly final and went 53.87, giving Cal another event to watch as her junior year unfolds.

For a retrospective Match read, we entered those three individual times. Cal appeared at #3 on the full list as a Strong match. The 50 free reached the current roster’s Scorer range; the 100 free and 100 fly were in its Contributor range.

There is relay speed in the same meet record, too. SwimSwam reports a 22.03 split on the 200 free relay and a 22.16 split on the 200 medley relay. Those splits are useful context for a sprinter’s range, though relay starts differ from individual races.

For this look back, we entered the published short course yard times on October 22, 2026 against the 2025–26 roster snapshot.
